Where to find Corey online:

Corey, what do you do?

I’m the founder and developer of a WordPress plugin called Kanban for WordPress.

What is your background?

I’ve been building websites since 1996. Around 2003, I caught the SaaS bug after hearing about 37Signals and Basecamp. I’ve been chasing product every since.

In 2009, I started using WordPress to build out most of my websites, both personal and client.

In 2015, I started looking for an opportunity to combine my love of product and WordPress. When I discovered there was no Kanban board for WordPress, I jumped on it.

Your favorite tools to help you with your work?

I have snippets for common phrases in support emails, code samples, all sorts of text I use regularly.

I mainly use Alfred for the clipboard manager and commonly used longer snippets. I also have a few workflows set up to manage app launching and audio settings.

Workflowy is great for quickly brain dumping plans and outlines. I use it for planning out projects before I start coding.

Multiple instances of Gmail (and Google inbox which I use and love), side-by-side. So simple, but so worth it.

This Chrome extension has changed my life. Snooze articles until the weekend. Snooze billing reminders until the day before they’re due. Watch online courses in one installment per day.

You open a dozen tabs to research something, then need to switch gears. Snooze all the tabs at once and come back to them.

Your absolute favorite tool in one sentence?

Similar to snoozing emails (which is why I love Google Inbox), bring tabs back to you at just the right time.
